We aim to raise funds to support Israel and combat antisemitism
About
Miles for Mitzvah
Miles for Mitzvah is a fundraising effort distributing all proceeds to Israeli soldiers and civilians. We are committed to spreading positivity by running marathons, with the goal of fighting antisemitism and raising funds for Israel. We expand our outreach and compound our impact by mobilizing networks of students across the country to run local marathons and spread our message in their respective regions. All proceeds go to the Friends of the Israeli Defense Force (FIDF).
Specific Breakdown of Proceeds
In collaboration with the FIDF, we are allocating our funds to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) resources for IDF soldiers. The funds we raise will go directly to the FIDF to fund the IDF Center for Mental Health and Resilience: addressing the extensive mental health needs of active and reserve IDF soldiers. This program delivers mental health services nationwide.
Specifically, the funds will go toward treatment for soldiers, mental rehabilitation, research and innovation, physical enhancements to the facility, and training for mental health professionals.

I am a freshman at the University of Michigan pursuing a major in sports management. Growing up in a predominantly Jewish Community in New York City, I was fortunate to never experience antisemitism growing up. I was shocked by the uptick in antisemitism following October 7th. My eyes were opened to the ongoing hardships many Jews face daily. This has continued into my freshman year at Michigan, where friends and I have been on the receiving end of antisemitic acts. My family instilled in me the importance of Israel in our lives. I decided to found Miles for Mitzvah alongside Henry to protect our homeland and support our soldiers who are putting their lives on the line to protect our freedom as Jews worldwide.
Henry Levin
I am a sophomore at the University of Miami pursuing a double major in finance and economics. I was fortunate to be raised in a welcoming environment. I knew antisemitism existed, however, I had never truly experienced or witnessed it. October 7th was a difficult day for me, my family, friends, and Jews around the world. Following the invasion and as the conflict in the Middle East has continued to escalate, I observed antisemitism in person, on my college campus, and all over the media. It made me sick and fully cognizant of the hardships Jews - who were not as fortunate - face. My interest in founding Miles For Mitzvah is to raise funds and awareness to support Israeli soldiers and civilians, combat antisemitism, promote positivity, and fiscally support those in need.
